Flipping coolers, advice needed

I was in home Depot when I saw a guy putting Pelican 20qt coolers on display in the clearance section. Asked him how much, he said $50.03. I grabbed three. The wife had already sold one for $100 (she’s awesome). We could sell at least one more for the same, maybe two. Options are:

Keep two, at a cost of $25 per

Keep 1, net $50.

Keep zero, profit $150, put it to a bigger cooler.

We’re a family of four, who would like to go camping in the next few years. Probably just one night trips. I think the next size up would be nice, but that makes it harder to use on a regular basis (a trip to the beach at the lake, for example). Thoughts? The 20qt can hold 15 cans when properly packed, for reference.

“would like to go camping in the next few years” Unacceptable. Go camping THIS WEEKEND!

I’d keep one, and keep an eye out for a bigger one.

Possibly potty training the two year old this weekend. Hard pass on throwing camping in the mix. But yeah, next few year is probably too pessimistic. This summer?

Potty training while camping was no big deal in our house. Probably helped that the trailer has a potty with a gas pedal though.

Haha! Sooner the better! Just go somewhere close for one night. Easy to bail and go home if it gets tough.

You’ve now got a new source of income. Want to go camping? Go get a new truck with a 96 month loan, and an RV trailer with a 180 month loan.

You can totally afford them both now! No need to worry about coolers or tents or any of that plebeian crap anymore either.

Keep one if you do day trips to the lake, otherwise dump them all.

I like to have two, one for beer and one for soda and water.

You need about 50 quarts of food space for a family of 4 for no longer than 6 days, figure about double that if its a cooler and not a fridge. Hope that helps.

Potty training is much easier while camping.

I keep hoping for one of these to pop up, I want a small (25 qt) cooler so I can use my fridge as a freezer and put my fridge stuff in the cooler and refresh the “ice” with bottles of frozen water that my freezer would refreeze. Then I have a fridge and a freezer. Or at the least a separate place to put all my cold drinks so I have more room for drinks.

I’ve only ever used one cooler for camping with a family of four. Just went on a short backpacking trip with my daughters with no cooler, so that’s possible too.

He’ll use the toilet if we make him, here just won’t tell us if he needs too. Woods ain’t helping that.

Sell one more, put profits towards a bigger cooler whenever it’s needed.

I got real lucky. Right place at the right time. I think this one home depot had extra they needed to clear out before the new models went on display.

15 cans? That’s not much bigger than my lunch box. You’ll probably need something bigger, though it’d depend on how many meals you want to keep cold. It’d be fine for 1 meal (dinner or breakfast), not really big enough for any more than a quick overnight though.

15 cans plus the required ice to keep it cold for 3 days. That’s about 3 six packs of space. So eggs, bacon, couple pounds of beef(burger or steaks), and a few beers? Enough for a single night?
